Historical Overview of a Tribe. For this week’s assignment, you will research your chosen tribe’s origin story, their material culture and historical subsistence system. To present your research, construct a three-page paper that includes: 
1. A summary of the tribe’s origin story (the sacred Native American narrative about the origins of the earth and its people). 
2. An explanation of the continental migration theory that best applies to this tribe. 
3. A discussion of the material culture and historical subsistence system of the tribe, based on ethnographic 
and archaeological accounts. 
4. A summary of the impact of the relationship with the U.S. government, legislative acts, executive orders, 
and public policies on the history of the tribe. 
5. A comparison of the origin story, migration theory, material culture, and impact of the relationship with 
the U.S. government for the tribe you selected and another tribe of your choice from the textbook or from the List of Tribes (available for download in your online classroom).

1. Must be three pages in length, excluding the title page and reference page(s), and formatted in APA style
