Literature Review
The articles reviewed pertained to several psychological studies. These studies were performed to determine the effects of prenatal substance exposure on a child’s development. The substances included in the studies are tobacco, cocaine and alcohol. There were many factors involved in the research. Some of these factors considered in the research are physical, such as the participant’s age and gender. The studies also measured height, weight and general health of the participants. There were social factors included in the studies such as the participants’socioeconomic status. The participants were also measured for their social ability and skill. The research also accounted for the participant’s environment, however; there were too many potential contributing environmental factors to get definitive results...
